Prior to the exhibition in Trelleborg in the autumn of 2018, Pernilla Norrman produced a documentation and evaluation of the project The feeling that the clay is solid / I rely on the clay being solid.
The publication (60 pages) is aimed at those who are curious and interested, regardless of prior knowledge or own experience of creative work. From the content: How did the idea of making a film about digging up clay came about - what is clay and what story is hidden in old brick? What does the artisan's deep experience of materiality represent today and its meaning in an expanded perspective? How are two completely different artistic disciplines included and met in one and the same work, and how did the meeting between ceramics and film finally work in the exhibition room, in the meeting with the audience?
