
Poster Brand Automobile 1915
This combined spray and step wagon was one of the first specially built fire trucks in Sweden. It was delivered on 22 June 1915 from Scania-Vabis in Södertälje to the Norrköping Fire Brigade. Price on delivery SEK 20,245. Chassis: Type SLa / special, production number 540. Engine: type Scania-Vabis K1, production number 586. Four-cylinder petrol engine with side valves, double camshafts and magnetic ignition. Cylinder diameter 135 mm, stroke 150 mm. Maximum power 50 horsepower at about 1200 rpm. Tires: Massive rings from Trelleborg. Dimensions: Rear 950 mm x 120 mm x 2, front 760 mm x 100 mm.
Anders Österlin, who drew this poster, also had a wooden model of the fire truck built, which he designed himself. The wooden model is today owned by his son Lars Österlin.
